P.I. DAY!!!

Hi guys, sorry i haven’t posted in a while, but i was sick for some of it. But today i am going to make up for it by posting two things today and this is the first one. I know that today is P.I. day in America, my home and i wanted to do an educational post today on the history of P.I. and P.I. day. P.I. day was supported by the American House of Representatives and was made into a Holiday. The very first big official P.I. celebration was created by Larry Shaw in the San Fransico Exploratorium. P.I. day is held in March 14th because the digits are the first 3 digits of the infinite number p.I. 3.14. The first ten numbers of P.I. are as follows: 3.141592535. This is the way to calculate P.I taken verbatim from the website WikiHow: Use the formula. The circumference of a circle is found with the formula C= π*d = 2*π*r. Thus pi equals a circle’s circumference divided by its diameter. Plug your numbers into a calculator: the result should be roughly 3.14.

Thanks for you peoples support and i hope you have a good day!                    -DoctorPorkchop

Wierd Facts!

Sorry that I haven’t posted one of these in a while and to make up for it I am posting a few special ones over the next two(ish) weeks. Today is one about my country, America. I’ll leave that off here and I hope you enjoy and that you have a wonderfull day!         -Dr.Porkchop

1.) Did you know that one-fourth of the global prison population is in the United States? Some home country pride if you know what I mean*.

2.) Did you know that by the time an American child reaches the age of 18 they will have seem approximately 40,000 murders whether cartoon or on television… *Or mabey some real ones… But hopefully not

3.) In 2014 police in America killed 1,100 people while police in Canada killed 14 people, Chinese police killed 12 and the German police didn’t kill anyone at all. Some more country pride anyone*? Toot toot!

4.) Montana has three times as many cows as it does people. Honestly, people wonder why global warming is a thing.

5.) The average American spends around 10 hours a day on any kind of electronics. That almost more than half the day!

Graceling

Katsa a young woman lives in a world where special powers, called Graces, is normal. Bit she was unlucky, for she was graced with the burden of killing. She is used by the King of the Middluns, one of all seven kingdoms. But when she meets the Leinid Prince Po, her life changes when she learns about one king who could take over all seven kingdoms. She must learn new things about herself, including the true nature of her Grace… In this wonderful book by Kristen Cashore she tells the story about finding the truth, even if it means doing what’s right. This is easily one of my favourite books and I love reading it! Thanks for sticking around!
